Message from JT
My name is Jason Thomson, also known as JT, and I am very proud to be the National President of Round Table Great Britain and Ireland.
My Table is Saffron Walden 582, which is in Area 33 Essex, Region 15. As well as having held posts as both Table and Area Chairman, I have served on the National Board for the past three years.
As National Vice President and now as President, my focus has been and will be in the short term on recruitment and retention of members, and a long term strategy to create a sustainable and successful Association. We have made some significant inroads over recent years to stabilise the membership. This has been achieved through new member initiatives and providing local Tables with the necessary tools to grow and maintain a strong Table.
I am committed to continue to develop such schemes and at the same time ensure that our overall strategy supports local efforts to recruit new members. I will be working closely with the Chief Executive, Cait Allen, to develop the long term strategy plans for the future, whilst delivering the all-important 3-5 year plan to address the immediate need to raise awareness of our great Association and reach out to our existing potential members.
I look forward to meeting with you over the next twelve months, as my travels will almost certainly bring me to an event near you. Please say hi and introduce yourself - I'm keen to hear your ideas, based on your personal experience of Round Table, and find out what works well in your local area. I am confident that by working together we can make sure plenty of future generations share the great experience we have and are enjoying as Tablers.

Some parting words as Vice President...
Can you believe it’s been nearly a year since our AGM in Blackpool where you supported me in becoming the National Vice-President of the best blokes club in the world! The National Board has been making some significant strides for the future of the Association and we are now seeing some amazing results especially in membership and retention which will and must remain one of the key focuses for all of us in the coming months and years. |
